Spokesman for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Mohebi, said identifying new targets and planning operations in new geographical areas are on the agenda, stressing that Iran’s armed forces are more prepared than ever to deliver a decisive response to the enemy.

Mohebi said the U.S. and Israel had failed to achieve their objectives in the war, including their stated goal of overthrowing the Islamic Republic and partitioning Iran. He added that the enemy had also faced difficulties regarding the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.

U.S. Military Presence in West Asia Has Failed

The Iranian official said the war had exposed the limitations of U.S. military power, arguing that Washington had failed to secure the Strait of Hormuz despite its extensive naval capabilities and decades-long military presence in the region.

He also said U.S. military bases in the region had failed to provide security and had instead become sources of insecurity for their host countries.

U.S. Military, Intelligence Capabilities Have Been Challenged

Mohebi said Iran had identified and targeted U.S. intelligence facilities, adding that the war had challenged Washington’s claims of intelligence superiority. He also referred to the F-35 fighter jet and U.S. naval technology as examples of what he called setbacks for American military capabilities.

He further argued that U.S. economic influence and global hegemony had been weakened by the conflict.

Armed Forces Ready for Decisive Response

Referring to the recent guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Mohebi said a new phase of confrontation had begun and that Iran’s armed forces were ready to respond decisively.

He stressed that the new approach involves no geographical restrictions in confronting the U.S., adding that the IRGC has placed the identification of new targets and the planning of operations in new geographical areas on its agenda.
