President Pezeshkian left Tehran for India this morning, seen off by First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, Hojjatoleslam Mohsen Qomi, Deputy for International Affairs at the Office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and several government members.
During the visit, the President will attend and address the main BRICS leaders' summit, the BRICS economic conference, and a closed-door session of BRICS leaders focused on inclusive global governance and strengthening multilateralism.
President Pezeshkian is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the Prime Minister of India, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, the President of South Africa, and other summit participants.
The 18th BRICS Summit is being held in New Delhi, India, bringing together leaders from member states to discuss key global and regional issues.
