Vincent Suvarna, an Italian activist who attended the 44th anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacre, said: "I am here to remember the massacre and to support the Palestinian refugees and Lebanon and Gaza resistance because I was living in Lebanon after I left Gaza in 2013. Gaza resistance gives me strength to continue the fight and believe the freedome. I don't ask for peace; I ask for justice. It's not time for peace, it is time for justice."
At the end of the ceremony, participants marched from the cultural center of the Al-Ghobeiry municipality toward the graves of the victims of the Sabra and Shatila massacre, where they laid flowers and wreaths.
Al-Ghobeiry Mayor Ahmad al-Khansa said the participation of the European delegation, despite the wars and difficult circumstances in the region, reflects its commitment to keeping alive the memory of the victims and conveying their experiences to the world.
He added that such efforts help raise global awareness of the immense suffering endured by the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
