A grand conference was held in Islamabad to commemorate the second martyrdom anniversary of Hezbollah’s martyred leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

A large number of religious scholars, students, and citizens from different sections of society attended the event.

Addressing the gathering, Sunni Grand Mufti Gulzar Ahmed Naeemi, Sheikh Najafi of Jamia al-Kauthar, Palestine Foundation Pakistan Secretary General Sabir Abu Maryam, and Ummah al-Wahida Pakistan's leader Allama Amin Shaheedi paid tribute to Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

Speakers said Nasrallah’s struggle was not limited to Arabs, Shias, or Muslims, but extended to all oppressed people. They noted that he was respected among Christians as well as Muslims.

A special message from Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem, recorded for the conference, was also played. The event featured a commemorative poem, followed by chants against the United States and Israel.

Participants also pledged allegiance to the new Leader, Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei.
