Speaking to Iran Press after attending the Urmia Grape Festival, Wan Yusri said the city had “tremendous potential” to showcase not only its grapes but also the wide variety of fruits produced in the region.
The ambassador noted that Urmia is known as an important center for grape production in Iran and also has significant apple-growing capacity.
He said the diversity of Urmia’s agricultural output could provide an opportunity to further showcase the city’s capabilities internationally and create avenues for expanded cooperation in agriculture and related industries.
The remarks came during the Urmia Grape Festival, which has been presented as a platform for promoting the city’s agricultural potential and strengthening international connections.
