Speaking to reporters before departing for New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian referred to this year’s UN General Assembly theme of “trust,” saying that, in practice, international legal principles and frameworks — including the rights of nations and individuals — are at times disregarded because certain powers possess political, military and economic leverage.
