The head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, Captain Abuzar Shiroudi, has announced that flights operated by Iranian and Iraqi airlines between the two countries will resume simultaneously on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

According to the Civil Aviation Organization, Shiroudi said that, based on decisions reached by senior officials of the two countries, flights between Iran and Iraq are scheduled to resume today, with both Iranian and Iraqi airlines operating services.

He urged passengers to check the latest status and scheduled departure time of their flights through the official websites or channels of their respective airlines, or via the flight information services of their departure airports, before heading to the airport.
