Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, in a message to Yemen's Deputy Foreign Minister, emphasized the importance of historical bonds between the two nations and stated that the unjust and illegal siege imposed on Yemen has caused severe suffering for its people.

Yemen's Saba news agency reported on Thursday, October 15, that Abdul-Wahid Abu-Ras, Yemen's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, received a message from Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi regarding relations between the two brotherly nations and current regional developments.

In his message, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of historical ties between the brotherly nations of Iran and Yemen, as well as the necessity of strengthening and developing these relations in line with the common interests of both countries.

He also stressed that the unjust and illegal siege imposed on the Republic of Yemen has brought severe suffering to the people of that country.

The message comes amid ongoing regional tensions and the continued suffering of the Yemeni people under the Saudi-led blockade, which has devastated the country's infrastructure and economy.
