President Pezeshkian said Iran and Georgia must expand their relations operationally, adding that this requires an action plan with a specific timeline. Referring to growing economic, cultural, and tourism ties between the two countries, he stressed the need for clear and transparent frameworks in this area.
The Iranian President also addressed U.S. sanctions on Iran, describing them as outside humanitarian frameworks and calling Washington's attacks in recent months unjustifiable and inhumane.
Citing the clear position of the martyred Leader of the Revolution on nuclear weapons, Pezeshkian stated that Iran is not seeking a nuclear weapon and described destructive propaganda against the country as false. He added that Iran has always been ready for dialogue, but will not submit to force.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, for his part, emphasized Georgia's transparent stance toward neighboring countries, saying Tbilisi rejects any foreign interference in the affairs of other states.
Highlighting the cultural and geographical commonalities between the two nations, he said the principle guiding Georgia is friendship and cooperation, expressing hope that joint work by the two countries' foreign ministries and diplomatic apparatuses would produce shared positions in the economic and tourism sectors.
