Diplomatic consultations between the Iranian and Russian delegations began shortly after the meeting, focusing on cooperation and regional and international developments.
According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Lavrov’s visit is part of ongoing consultations between Tehran and Moscow. It is aimed at following up on the implementation of bilateral agreements and exchanging views on regional and international issues.
The visit comes as Iran and Russia continue diplomatic coordination on issues of mutual interest and developments affecting regional and international affairs.
