Iran FM Abbas Araghchi:

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stressed that regional prosperity depends on a collective commitment to peace, mutual respect, sovereign equality and shared responsibility, emphasizing that security cannot be imported from outside the region.

Tehran (IP) - The remarks came at the inauguration of the Martyr Kamal Kharrazi Documentation Center and Museum in Tehran on October 25, 2026, attended by Araghchi and a number of officials.

Araghchi underscored Iran’s neighborhood policy and the principle of self-reliant regional security, saying neighboring countries should act as partners rather than rivals. He reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to expand diplomacy, pursue bilateral and multilateral dialogue, and resolve disputes peacefully to strengthen transparency and mutual trust.

Araghchi: Region Must Move Toward Zero Foreign Military Presence to Achieve Peace, Stability

Araghchi said foreign forces had entered the region to serve their own interests, primarily to protect Israel, warning that their continued presence would bring nothing but insecurity to the region.

He added that these forces were unable to protect Israel, their host countries or even themselves.

Iran FM: Nothing Will Be Same After Ramadan War

Araghchi said the 40-day war, known as the Ramadan War, had fundamentally reshaped the region’s strategic landscape. He stressed that all parties must recognize the changes in regional conditions, including transit routes and the arrangements governing the Strait of Hormuz.

Referring to negotiations with the United States mediated by Pakistan, Qatar and other countries, Araghchi said Iran maintains that any end to the war must encompass all fronts. He argued that continued conflict in one part of the region is incompatible with expectations of stability and calm elsewhere (in the region).

Araghchi: Iran Ready to Cooperate with All Regional Countries, Especially in the Persian Gulf

Araghchi said Iran and other regional countries must live in peace without foreign interference after the war, stressing that this is the only path to peace, security and stability in the region.

He reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to cooperate with all regional countries, particularly those in the Persian Gulf. Tehran maintains relations with these countries and is working to reach a common approach and understanding on a new regional security framework, which he said is essential to establishing peace and stability.
