Dismissing the political process in Israel as a factional competition in evil, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman stated that changes in the leadership of the Israeli regime hold no significance for Tehran.

Addressing reporters in his weekly press conference on Monday, Esmaeil Baqaei likened the Israeli political landscape to the film Dr. Strangelove, asserting that elections within the regime amount to a continuous contest over who can commit greater acts of violence, aggression, and murder.

Baqaei emphasized that the decades-long oppression and genocide of Palestinians, paired with the Israeli regime’s reliance on rhetorical threats and false flag operations, mean that the identity of its ultimate leader changes nothing for the region.

"What I can assure you of is that, regardless of such rhetoric, we monitor developments closely, and Iran’s formidable armed forces will not hesitate for even a fraction of a second in defending Iran’s territory," Baqaei declared.

Shifting focus to regional geopolitics, the spokesman welcomed initiatives by regional countries to establish independent security mechanisms based on their own interests. He reiterated Tehran’s long-standing position that endogenous security is vital.

Iran FM spokesman said: "From our perspective, the very fact that regional countries are seeking to establish, or at least contemplate, regional security mechanisms based on their own interests and expediencies is a welcome development. This meeting can serve as a prelude to further efforts toward shaping endogenous security. This is something we have insisted upon and emphasized for decades: regional security cannot be secured except by relying on the will and security considerations of the countries of the region. The events of the past two years, especially the last eight months, have demonstrated that sustainable and reliable security in our region is unachievable without building trust and cooperation among regional nations."

He noted that recent events, particularly over the past eight months, have proven that sustainable regional stability requires mutual trust and cooperation among neighboring nations, free from external interference.

Baqaei also addressed European diplomatic maneuvers, casting skepticism on recent approaches by European parties and criticizing their failure to condemn U.S. and Israeli war of aggression against Iran, including threats to its nuclear facilities. He blamed the European parties for enabling the crisis by following Washington’s lead on the snapback mechanism and maintaining a stance of complacency in the face of regional escalations.
