Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), met with Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, where the end to the U.S.-Israel war on Iran was emphasized with Tehran's terms being preserved.

During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei described the SNSC and its Secretariat as a “crossroads for managing” the country’s affairs and highlighted the interplay among four areas, culture, politics, the economy, and security, and stressed the need for decisions in each area to be accompanied by appropriate supporting plans.

The Leader said that sound, well-grounded decisions require a roadmap based on a complete picture of each initiative, from its starting point to its conclusion.

Other topics discussed included strengthening national cohesion and unity, building mutual trust between the public and officials, and making use of the Constitution, particularly Article 176, to help the president and executive bodies resolve the country’s problems more quickly and effectively.

The discussions also addressed safeguarding national and regional security through the management of the Strait of Hormuz, and strengthening bilateral relations with neighboring countries on the basis of lasting mutual interests.

Ayatollah Khamenei told Mohsen Rezaei that bringing the adversary to a state of desperation was one of the outcomes of national resistance of Iran. He also stressed the importance of timely, proactive communication to sustain public participation in defending the country, and of pursuing the rights and interests of the Iranian people and the Resistance Front by putting an end the state of “neither war nor peace.”

At the meeting, Rezaei briefed the Leader on the country’s situation across various sectors and on ongoing efforts. He said that one of the initiatives being pursued by the Council’s Secretariat was the Islamic Republic’s strategic policy of “bringing order to, and establishing, an endogenous regional order.”
