Speaking at a cabinet meeting on Sunday, November 1, Pezeshkian also called for energy conservation and more effective management of energy resources, saying there was no alternative to reducing consumption. He identified public livelihoods, healthcare, energy supply and electricity for industry as government priorities.
The president further called for companies to maintain their bank accounts and conduct their financial operations in the provinces where their factories, mines and production facilities are located. He said loans and credit should also be allocated in those same areas to promote balanced regional development and prevent economic resources from being concentrated in Tehran.
A team led by the president’s executive deputy was tasked with examining ways to implement the policy. The cabinet also reviewed a Foreign Ministry briefing on diplomatic developments and negotiations with the United States through mediators. It approved the Planning and Budget Organization’s plan to amend this year's budget (2025-2026 budget).
